    DEFENSE

    Soucy Defense Division

Soucy brings its expertise and partnership to all major manufacturers (OEMs). The company has developed its own manufacturing equipment and facilities to meet the specific requirements of each application – from ATVs to military vehicles up to 90,000 lbs.

    ENSURING MISSION SUCCESS

    ENSURING MISSION SUCCESS

    ENSURING MISSION SUCCESS

Composite rubber track (CRT) is the most significant technological advance since the invention of the tank tracks. Soucy’s technology is revolutionising the development of tracked vehicles by delivering multiple strategic benefits and optimizing equipment performance. Our defense products are approved by military forces around the world, offering many operational advantages.

    OPERATIONAL BENEFITS

    Vibration Reduction

Composite rubber tracks reduce up to 70% of vibrations, which lowers crew fatigue, premature wear on electronics and ammunition insensitivity.

    Mobility

Composite rubber tracks provide a significant decrease in nominal ground pressure which allows vehicles a greater range of accessible terrain.

    Low Maintenance

The design of the composite rubber tracks reduces maintenance requirements, allowing the vehicles to operate independently for more than 7 days.

    LAND SYSTEMS

    10mT to 15mT

The M113 is the largest family of tracked armoured fighting vehicles for which Soucy provide composite rubber track systems. The M113 has over 40 variants and are used by many nations worldwide. Soucy first applied composite rubber tracks on the M113 in 2000.

    16mT to 25mT

Soucy increased the design limit of its composite rubber tracks to 21.5mT in 2005 for the Danish defense M113G4 fleet. There was a requirement for the platform to work under extreme conditions and have greater mobility across a wide range of terrain. Soucy engineers designed and developed a bespoke track system to suit.

    26mT to 42mT

The CV90 is Soucy’s main armoured platform in this weight category. Composite rubber tracks along with conventional steel tracks were operationally tested by the Norwegian army during the Afghanistan conflict. After this mission, the Norwegian army chose composite rubber tracks for their vehicles.

    8mT to 15mT Articulated Vehicles

In the early 2000s, composite rubber tracks were integrated onto the BV206 and BVS10. Those vehicles are widely used, not only in defense markets but also in the security sector in over 40 countries.

    A FULLY INTEGRATED SOLUTION

Soucy is an integrated company offering turnkey solutions in design, manufacturing and customer service for defense products. The different contributors are easy to access and clients are involved from the beginning of the process through manufacturing. Clients can influence the product design through a single supplier, with integrated logistics support.

    INTEGRATED LOGISTIC SUPPORT

Soucy’s integrated logistic support is offered as early as the design and development phase and continues throughout the life of the tank tracks system with a spare parts support program. All aspects of training and track integration are developed to meet the needs of Soucy’s customers and covered within Soucy’s training courses. Maintenance procedures of the composite rubber track systems are provided in a bespoke vehicle user manual.

    DEFENSE ENGINEERING CAPACITIES

Soucy’s engineering teams through their innovation and ingenuity have been the driving force of Soucy’s development. The multidisciplinary engineering teams optimize the design and manufacture the products in collaboration with our customers, while minimizing production costs in order to find the best solution for the application.
