This position will be responsible for taking on and/or supporting various automation projects to support our growth.

Here's an overview of your tasks:

  • Participate in the acquisition, installation of equipment composed of mechanical systems, robots, programmable logic controllers or computerized systems
  • Program and optimize the various components of a machine (PLC, sensor, controller, drives, etc.)
  • Perform industrial robot programming
  • Support the planning of automation work by defining the material and tools required
  • Project management and follow-up of maintenance and optimization work
  • Actively participate in the troubleshooting of automated equipment
  • Train employees on the operation of automated or robotic equipment
  • Assist employees in the accomplishment of assigned tasks by performing simple tasks


  • Bachelor's degree in automated production engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics or any other related specialization combined with relevant experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the design and manufacturing of machines, automated systems with or without robotics, in the context of manufacturing processes
  • Demonstrate technical leadership
  • Ability to influence colleagues towards a concerted solution
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills as well as strong organizational skills
  • Resourceful, open-minded and skilled in applied problem solving
  • Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills (French/English)

Will be considered an asset:

  • Minimum experience in programming ABB robots and Robot Studio simulator
  • Mastery of technical aspects of metrology, geometric tolerancing
  • Knowledge of machine vision
  • Knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley and Siemens) and object-oriented programming in Python or VB
  • Knowledge of operator interface programming (HMI)
  • Knowledge of electrical circuit design for machines
  • General knowledge of metal fabrication
